Litchfield Hills Solar Partnered with Husky Meadows Farm for a More Sustainable Future

West Cornwall, Connecticut – Husky Meadows is an organic farm based in Norfolk, CT where their focus is to nurture the connections between working the land, making food, and strengthening the community. As one of the few certified organic farms in Litchfield Hills, Husky Meadows prides itself on sustainable practices both in the kitchen and on the farm. Produce is sold directly to consumers via their Farm Memberships and Farmer’s Markets. Solar energy was a natural fit to help reach their sustainability goals.

Husky Meadows brought in Litchfield Hills Solar (LHS), a West Cornwall-based company specializing in residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to make their goal a reality. LHS worked with their certified NABCEP engineers to ensure Husky Meadows had the best products and system for their daily needs. By working with Soligent, LHS was able to design a 24 kW rooftop solar PV system on the Husky Meadows barn, reducing their electrical needs from their utility grid.

Soligent was able to work with Litchfield Hills Solar to supply 62 Mission Solar 310W modules, Unirac racking, SolarEdge optimizers and two 10kW inverters.
